What exactly does a PortaJane franchisee do?

PortaJane franchisees work with local event planners in their city to provide portable restrooms for events including weddings, parties and outdoor sporting events. By providing "women only" PortaJane facilities you are able to fill the need for clean and comfortable restrooms at events where women are the focus or where customer service is important. You are able to provide a solution to the previously underserviced market created by other service providers in the industry who provide shared restrooms that are notoriously dirty and smelly. Women are particularly sensitive to these dirty facilities, creating an instant bond with event and party planners who are women.

How do I get customers?

We help you! Your initial startup package includes everything from lead generation to appointment setting. We'll provide you with a list of potential clients, as well as the marketing materials to tell them about PortaJane. Event Planners and Party Planners work with a constantly changing group of clients, so once you have created a relationship and serviced their clients there is an ongoing flow of new client opportunities for your business.

Is there training? Do you provide support?

PortaJane provides a training and support program to help you every step of the way. You start with one and a half days of training at our headquarters or in your territory. This initial training coincides with the delivery of your PortaJane vehicle and portable restrooms and takes you through the operation and marketing of your business. Training continues with your personal Franchise Business Advisor who works with you step by step in securing your initial customers, as well as on an ongoing basis.

How much will I need to invest?

The estimated initial investments to establish a PortaJane franchise will be between $51,094 to $148,418. This includes a franchise fee of $19,500 as well as the PortaJane vehicle and equipment, PortaJane toilets as well as men only and ADA units, three months' rent for a storage facility, permits and working capital to open your business.

Do you offer financing?

PortaJane does not offer any direct financing but can recommend some third party financing options for you. We have arrangements with preferred parties for both the vehicle financing and the portable toilet financing both of which are available to individuals with good credit in most cases. If you have a retirement fund we can also recommend some great programs that allow you to borrow against your retirement fund without paying penalties or taxes.
